Active movement and an osteopathic approach are integrated into a mindful journey toward the body’s overall well-being.
This program combines the value of the Pilates method with osteopathic assessment to create a mindful path aimed at overall personal well-being.
The body functions as an integrated unit in which structure, posture, breath, and the visceral system are deeply connected: pairing mindful movement with osteopathic evaluation enhances posture, balance, and overall physical function.
The focus of this workshop will be the pelvic floor, a fundamental structure for pelvic organ support, pelvic and spinal stability, and internal pressure management. Its function is closely linked to the diaphragm, deep abdominal muscles, and the musculature of the pelvis and trunk.
Guided by our instructor Ilaria Loria and Clelia de Biasi (D.O. Osteopath – C.E.E.S.O. Lyon), participants will gain practical tools to understand the role of their functional center and integrate a correct, efficient posture into daily life.
Workshop Objectives:
- To increase awareness and perception of the pelvic floor;
- To understand the functional role of the pelvic floor within the body’s system;
- To explore the relationship between pelvic floor, breathing and diaphragm;
- To promote a better understanding and management of intra-abdominal pressure;
- To improve pelvic and spinal stability through proper muscle coordination;
- To learn to recognize and modulate pelvic floor activation, avoiding excessively rigid or non-functional engagement;
- To integrate breathing, muscle activation and movement into Pilates practice and daily activities;
- To promote a better understanding of one’s own body through the integration of Pilates and osteopathy.
