The Role of the Spine

Pilates and Osteopathy Workshop

February 5, 2027 at 6:30 pm

Active movement and an osteopathic approach are integrated into a mindful journey toward the body’s overall well-being.

This program combines the value of the Pilates method with osteopathic assessment to create a mindful path aimed at overall personal well-being.

The body functions as an integrated unit in which structure, posture, breath, and the visceral system are deeply connected: pairing mindful movement with osteopathic evaluation enhances posture, balance, and overall physical function.

The focus of this workshop will be the spine, a central supporting element that provides structural foundation, protects the nervous system, and enables movement through the coordinated effort of joints, muscles, and connective tissues.

The importance of a spine that is both stable and mobile will be explored in depth. Guided by our instructor Ilaria Loria and Clelia de Biasi (D.O. Osteopath – C.E.E.S.O. Lyon), participants will gain practical tools to understand the role of their functional center and integrate a correct, efficient posture into daily life.

Workshop Objectives:

  • Improve awareness of the spine and its function.
  • Understand the relationship between posture, breathing, and spinal mobility.
  • Promote proper alignment and stability of the spine.
  • Improve joint mobility and the quality of movement.
  • Prevent tension, stiffness, and strain caused by poor posture and non-functional movement patterns.
  • Promote a better body awareness through an integrated approach combining Pilates and osteopathy.
6:30 – 8:00 P.M. Workshop - €17
