At the end of a week of training and sharing, the students of Marco Goecke's Intensive present the fruit of their work, with a reinterpretation of the famous German choreographer's repertoire: "Woke Up Blind".
The evening continues with one of the projects selected for Call for Creation ‘25, Orsolina28 Art Foundation's grant dedicated to young emerging talents.
“RED”, by Hiroki Ichinose, explores the cultural contrasts between Eastern and Western values through the lens of the Japanese folk tale “Akai ito de musubareteru” (the red string of fate), in which the gods tie a red thread between two people destined to meet. Through this tale, Ichinose aims to examine how different societies perceive fate, autonomy, self-evolution and familial responsibility. Drawing from the shared experiences of the artists involved, Ichinose seeks to create a meditation on identity and belonging in a global world. The choreography is created in collaboration with the dancers and the project is supported by CHANEL.
