Creation '25
Call for Creation is a residency opportunity offered by Orsolina28 Art Foundation to support the next generation of choreographers, born from the desire to contribute to the future of choreographic arts.
Open to choreographers under the age of 35, the residency supports an original choreographic proposal to be developed at Orsolina28. The residency includes a 21-day work period dedicated to research and the creation of a new work and ends with an informal work-in-progress presentation at Orsolina28 Art Foundation’s Open Air Stage or The Eye.

Participation Requirements
Call for Creation is open to choreographers from all over the world and born as of May 1990 or after. Each project is allowed a maximum of 6 participants (1 choreographer + 5 dancers and/or artistic collaborators). A collaborative choreographic project may be submitted only if all coreographers are under 35.
Proposals must be original and/or still under development. Projects that have already been performed are not accepted.
Residency
Artists will be hosted by Orsolina28 Art Foundation and will have access to one dance studio throughout the residency.
The residency includes:
- A monetary contribution of € 1.300 (before taxes) per artist.
- Access to a dance studio.
- Full board (three meals a day) and accommodation.
- Round trip transfer from Milan or Turin Airport.
- Hosting of a public sharing in The Eye or Open Air Stage.
Travel fare is not included.
Selection
The artistic selection committee is comprised of Simony Monteiro, Founder and Artistic Director of Orsolina28 Art Foundation, and Mario Alberto Zambrano, Associate Director of Dance at the Juilliard School.
The committee seeks proposals with original artistic vision, both in movement generation and choreographic composition. An outline of how a three-week residency would be utilized is preferred.
The selected project will be announced on February 11, 2025.
The selection of the committee is final and irrevocable.

Every section of the application must be completed entirely and accompanied by the required materials. All materials should be submitted in English.
Applications are due by 12:00 P.M. (CEST) on February 3, 2025.
The payment of a non-refundable application fee, of € 40, is required.
