Dancer, choreographer, teacher, and trainer, she has been professionally dedicated to the art of movement since the 1970s. In 1981, she founded and directed “Arkè.” After receiving an EEC scholarship, she completed the training course for theater operators at the Bella Hutter-Sutki School. She studied in London, Vienna, Chicago, San Diego, and New York at the Martha Graham School of Contemporary Dance and at the Robert Fitzgerald Center to deepen her knowledge of the Graham technique and the study and application of Pilates principles in the physical preparation of dancers. In 2010, she was awarded Global GRAVITY® Master Trainer of the Year. As Global Master Trainer, she is responsible for training and certifying GRAVITY® Foundation, Pilates, and Post Rehab teachers in Italy, the Netherlands, Bulgaria, Denmark, Russia, Ukraine, South Africa, the Czech Republic, Kuwait, Dubai, India, Mexico, Japan, Korea, Singapore, the United States, Malaysia, and China, where she was invited to Beijing's Olympic Village to teach 20th-century techniques and physical training to the Olympic team. In 2016, she obtained Hatha & Vinyasa Yoga Teacher certification recognized by the International Yoga Alliance. She created the Matilde's Braid system and the 19hundred teaching method, training teachers all over the world. In 2023, she created Matilde's The Art of Movement, a reality that brings together and intertwines all the experiences of the art of movement aimed at quality and respect for body, mind, and spirit. She continues to learn and teach every day with passion.
