The Functional Value of Movement

April 10, 2026 at 5:30 pm

Gaining greater awareness of our bodies through functional movement

The goal of this workshop is to explore the functional value of the Pilates method, integrating it with an osteopathic approach to create a conscious path aimed at the overall wellbeing of the person.

The body functions as a unit in which structure, posture, breathing and the visceral system are deeply connected to each other: by combining active movement and osteopathic assessment, posture, balance and bodily function can be improved.

The focus of the meeting will be on the pelvic floor. Accompanied by Pilates instructor Ilaria Loria and osteopath Clelia de Biasi, participants will be guided through an educational programme with the aim of:

  • Improving awareness and control of the pelvic floor;
  • Preventing and correcting any problems, such as hypertonicity or hypotonicity;
  • Improving posture and core stability.
5:30 - 6:45 P.M. Workshop - €17

During the event, photos and videos may be taken for the promotion of the event itself or similar events. Those who do not wish to be filmed may mention this at the reception desk prior to the activity.
