Fondazione Accademia di Musica
From Mozart to the Italian Melodrama
Orsolina28 Art Foundation is pleased to welcome the most outstanding students from the 3rd-level university Specialization Course of the Fondazione Accademia di Musica di Pinerolo e Torino ETS.
During the residency artists will go through a journey through some of the most celebrated opera works, from Mozart to the heart of the Italian bel canto tradition with Bellini, Donizetti and Verdi. Arias and scenes from masterpieces such as La Sonnambula, Lucia di Lammermoor and La Traviata become a meeting point between study and stage, providing the opportunity to discover a new generation of opera voices engaging with one of the most beloved repertoires of the operatic tradition.
Fondazione Accademia di Musica
Recognized as one of the leading institutions for advanced musical training, the Fondazione Accademia di Musica ETS has been active since 1994 between Pinerolo and Turin. At the core of its mission is musical education: each year it brings together more than 50 internationally renowned faculty members and approximately 650 students.
The Academy offers third-level postgraduate specialization courses officially recognized by the Ministry, alongside advanced training courses and masterclasses in piano, contemporary piano, violin, viola, cello, clarinet, flute, chamber music, performance-oriented composition, and orchestral excerpts.
These programs are complemented by special projects such as the summer camp and the Professione Orchestra training-on-the-job program, developed in partnership with the Orchestra Sinfonica Nazionale della RAI, as well as the Accademia Chamber Orchestra and numerous collaborations with partners across Italy, who host performances by the most outstanding students.
Since 2024, the Academy’s advanced training offer has expanded to include opera singing, with a third-level specialization course recognized by the Ministry and developed in partnership with the Fondazione Luciano Pavarotti, alongside annual courses and masterclasses.
A vibrant and well-established concert activity finds its core in the Stagione Pinerolese, which for over 30 years has alternated internationally acclaimed soloists with award-winning young artists. This is complemented by the summer festival Musica d’Estate and additional concerts throughout the region.
The Academy is also engaged in international initiatives, including the prestigious biennial chamber music competition ICM Competition “Pinerolo e Torino Città Metropolitana”, a member of the WFIMC (UNESCO), and CADMO within the European project Digi Orchestra.
Since its foundation, the Academy has been committed to promoting artistic and cultural excellence within an increasingly international perspective.
