Intensive program

Peter Chu

Intensive Program '25

Jun 22 – Jun 29, 2025

The Program Chuthis. Movement Intensive is a unique one-week program dedicated to personal movement research and development, guided by Peter Chu and chuthis. collaborators. This intensive is designed to deepen awareness of movement patterns while igniting creativity through individual and communal exploration. Participants will cultivate an intimate connection that fosters artistic growth and development throughout the week.
The workshop delves into qi gong and taiji fundamentals, ballet movement principles, partner exchanges, free-form exploration, and chuthis. repertoire. The classes encourage the discovery of a harmonious, playful, and tranquil approach to movement, all while engaging in a creative process alongside Peter Chu.

In the morning, participants will join the chuthis. Ideas class, which fuses Chu’s research and discoveries acquired over the years, focusing on controlled breathing, the composition of the body and space, mind/body familiarity, and Qigong & Taichi fundamentals (relaxed, rooted posture and a straight, supple spine). Being introduced to a chuthis. ideas class will further the dancer's gentle approach to movement and strengthen the dancers' emotional control and be out of control when required.

This intensive combines movement and artistic development with community and a wellness approach. Participants will experience how movement nourishes change, enhances health, and connects individuals to their body's innate ability to heal.
Spend a week discovering courage, developing connections, and nurturing compassion within this inspiring space. Don't miss the chance to ride this wave of creativity and transformation!
