The Party

Maximilian Revell is the young talent selected in 2024 by Orsolina28 as part of its Call for Creation, his project stood out for its originality and the path of the choreographer, who has collaborated with names such as Akram Khan.

His project, "The Party," explores the complexities of social interaction through a diverse group of characters facing the pressures of a social event. Class dynamics, feelings of loneliness and the gradual discovery of the five individuals' true character are addressed with an artistic language that draws from street dance, mime, magic, contemporary dance and theater.

On May 31, "The Party" will be presented in the Eye at Orsolina28.

Maximilian Revell

Growing up in Cornwall, Maximilian Revell began training in Plymouth, taking breaking and popping classes with Street Factory from age nine, later returning there to teach. As a teenager he traveled across the UK competing in battles, and worked with several theatre companies before joining Northern School of Contemporary Dance in Leeds. In 2019 he won the BBC Young Dancer competition, graduating NSCD in 2020 he joined postgraduate company Verve. He has enjoyed working with The Hiccup Project, Frantic Assembly, Patricia Okenwa, Gary Clarke, Eleanor Sikorski, Susanne Thomas, Dickson Mbi, Tony Adigun, Barnaby Booth, Botis Seva, Caroline Finn, and Matthew Robinson.
