Cherry Notes
Music under the cherry trees.

In collaboration with Unione Musicale. Artistic direction: Antonio Valentino

Among all art forms, music has the closest relationship with nature. Music is impalpable matter made of frequencies and timbres, of sound waves that disseminate in the air. Nature, on the other hand, has always been a source of inspiration for artists and composers.
It is an irresistible call, therefore, to listen to classical music performed live on a lawn beneath the shade of cherry trees, surrounded by a breathtaking landscape.
Eight concerts, unique listening experiences with great variety, in the splendid setting of Orsolina28.

The Hypsos Duo was born in 2019 and is formed by two Neapolitan artists: the violinist Federica Severini, born in 1996 and professor of chamber music at the Conservatorio Martucci in Salerno, and the 27-year-old pianist Pier Carmine Garzillo, professor of piano at the Conservatorio Domenico Cimarosa in Avellino. The Duo recorded in the year 2019 the CD Romantic Echoes with music by Liszt, Franck and Paganini-Szymanowski with the label Luna Rossa Classics and was the winner of the "Best Duo CD-Silver Star" award at the International Competition Music and Stars 2021. The ensemble has participated in several concert festivals and recently performed for the presentation of the CD at the Auditorium Chiti of the Mascagni Institute of Livorno and for the Rotary Club Salerno at the Grand Hotel Salerno.
Federica Severini won first prize at the American Protègè International Concerto Competition in New York, where she performed in the Weill Hall of Carnegie Hall, and first prize overall at the Dinu Lipatti International Competition in Rome. She plays a 1912 Romeo Antoniazzi violin.
Pier Carmine Garzillo has been defined by the critics "a solid reality of the Neapolitan piano school" and Paolo Isotta, illustrious critic of the "Corriere della Sera" wrote about him: "Pier Carmine possesses that deepness of the key and that cantabile which reveal him as a direct heir of the great Neapolitan master Vincenzo Vitale".
