Cherry Notes
Music under the cherry trees.

In collaboration with Unione Musicale. Artistic direction: Antonio Valentino

Among all art forms, music has the closest relationship with nature. Music is impalpable matter made of frequencies and timbres, of sound waves that disseminate in the air. Nature, on the other hand, has always been a source of inspiration for artists and composers.
It is an irresistible call, therefore, to listen to classical music performed live on a lawn beneath the shade of cherry trees, surrounded by a breathtaking landscape.
Eight concerts, unique listening experiences with great variety, in the splendid setting of Orsolina28.

The Cit Brass Quintet was born in Turin in 2015, from the desire to make music together of five young boys, students of the Conservatorio Giuseppe Verdi. The members of the quintet have also perfected their skills in Germany, Switzerland and the USA. The group has to its credit numerous concerts and collaborations with different entities and music festivals. Of particular note are the concerts for the MITO Itinerante festival (in 2016 and in 2021, as part of the MITO SettembreMusica festival) and the concert for the reopening of the Royal Gardens of Turin in 2016.
The brass quintet is composed of the five instruments of the brass family (hence the term "brass") that can be considered the pillars of traditional country bands, where all members of the ensemble have taken their first steps in music. The particular difference in timbre of the instruments, allows to recreate the atmosphere that evokes just a band or even a symphony orchestra; the organic allows also to range from classical authors, such as Bach, Gabrieli, Mozart, Haendel, Strauss, up to a more modern and contemporary repertoire, including film music, pop music, jazz and swing.
The members of the Cit Brass Quintet boast numerous collaborations with prestigious symphony orchestras in Italy and abroad, such as the orchestras of the Teatro Regio di Torino, Carlo Felice di Genova, Regio di Parma, Orchestra della Svizzera Italiana, Orchestra Filarmonica Italiana, Accademia del Teatro alla Scala di Milano, La Fil di Milano, Filarmonica di Torino, I Virtuosi Italiani di Verona, Sinfonica di Sanremo, Orchestra Antonio Vivaldi and Giovanile Luigi Cherubini playing under the direction of conductors such as Daniele Gatti, Daniel Oren, Yury Temirkanov, Gianandrea Noseda and Donato Renzetti.
