Fabrizio Bosso and Julian Oliver Mazzariello's tribute to the music of Pino Daniele is a respectful and passionate homage, full of emotion.

The two musicians retrace Daniele's different musical trajectories, trying to restore an unedited portrait of the Neapolitan songwriter, focused especially on music. The intention is not a simple reinterpretation, but dressing a great music with new and authentic colors, making extraordinary melodies resound with the timbre and poetry of two exceptional preminent figures of the contemporary jazz.

The repertoire embraces a wide range of songs, from the great "Napule è" (1077) to the enthralling "Je so' pazzo" (1979), from the magic of "Quanno chiove" (1980), to the more recent "Quando ” (1992) and the two pearls “Allora sì” and “Sicily” (1993), the latter recorded at the time with the American jazz musician Chick Corea, author of the music to which Pino Daniele added a thrilling text.

Il cielo è pieno di stelle is one of the concerts of Cherry Notes 2023 programming, created in collaboration with Unione Musicale, Torino. Artistic direction by Antonio Valentino.
