Invited for the first time to create a piece for the dancers of the Paris Opera Ballet, choreographers Bobbi Jene Smith and Or Schraiber first stopped at the Orsolina Art Foundation28 in Italy. In this rehearsal studio, they let the ideas, images and sensations inspired by Sibelius' haunting music come to them. They drew on their own experience, delving into the darker side to bring out the light, gathering material for the work with the Corps de Ballet de l'Opéra.
With a modern and figurative stage set, intertwining Sibelius' Violin Concerto with a musical creation by Celeste Oram, Pit takes the audience into a sensual, tribal and dramatic universe.
