Joy Alpuerto Ritter was born in Los Angeles and grew up in Freiburg im Breisgau, Germany. In her youth she was trained at the Ballettschule Armin Krain and learned Philippine Folk Dance in the cultural dance group led by her mother.

In 2004 Joy graduated at the Palucca School in Dresden, Germany with a dance diploma. She started working as a freelance dancer with choreographers like Christoph Winkler, Heike Hennig Wangramirez, Constanza Macras and Yui Kawaguchi. After expanding her repertory in urban dance styles, she became part of the Hip Hop and Voguing Ballroom culture scene in Berlin and has won prizes in several Dance Battles like Voguing out Berlin, Defipayette, Oval Battle and Funkin stylz. In 2011 she joined Cirque du Soleil as a dancer and aerial artist for the Michael Jackson Immortal World Tour. Since 2013 she has been a dancer and rehearsal director of the Akram Khan Company where she continues her touring life all around the world. In 2016 she has been nominated as "outstanding female dancer" (modern) in the Performance "Until the Lions" by the National Dance Awards UK.

Since 2016 Joy has been creating her own work like Unda (premier at the Barbican London), Alter Egos (Sophiensaele Berlin), Heimkehr (coproduction LOFFT das Theater), rOOms (Co-funded by the creative europe program of the european union). With her solo work Babae, she has found international response as a Choreographer and is one of the Aerowaves artists 2020. Her work as a (an associate) choreographer established new collaborations with Akram Khan (UK), Ballett Black (UK), Chen Shi-Zheng (New York), Riz Ahmed (UK), Viviana Durante (UK), Floria Sigismondi (USA/CA), Florence and the machine (UK).

Hannes Langolf is a performer and choreographer based in London. Throughout his career, he has worked and collaborated with world class artists and companies like William Forsythe, Angelin Preljocaj, Wayne McGregor, Akram Khan, Fabulous Beast and Punchdrunk to name a few.

In 2007 he joined the internationally renown DV8 Physical Theatre to be part of the original cast of the critically acclaimed stage productions “To Be Straight With You” (2007-2009, nominated for an Olivier Award) and “Can We Talk About This?” (2010-2012)

In 2014, Hannes was appointed DV8’s first Creative Associate and played the title character in their production “JOHN” (National Theatre London and touring internationally), earning critical acclaim in national and international press and with audiences. He was Creative Associate and Tour Director for the re-creation of DV8’s “Enter Achilles” in 2019/20 (produced by Rambert and Sadler’s Wells).

Hannes’s own artistic work comprises two full-length productions: “DANDELION” (Onassis Cultural Center in Athens), and “UNRUHE” (for and with the Susanne Linke Dance Company) and he created works for The London Eye Company, Munich Dance Festival, VERVE and others.

He is a sought after teacher and workshop leader working internationally across dance, physical theatre, film and vocal/text work and is committed to exchanging ideas and supporting new talent.

Hannes is a certified Yoga teacher and has completed his Teacher Training under the guidance of Cat Alip-Douglas and Phil Douglas at the renowned Sangyé Yoga School in London.

In 2015, Hannes was nominated as one of the 100 most influential and innovative people working across Britain’s creative industries by The Hospital Club London.
