Season 2025

Traditions and Innovations

Cherry Notes Series

Nov 1, 2025

A gathering of instruments, ideas and visions, under the guidance of one of the most innovative cellists and composers of our time.

A cello ensemble, guided by Giovanni Sollima’s creative energy, comes to life during this evening dedicated to sound research and musical experimentation. The cello becomes the absolute protagonist, exploring new expressive territories between writing and improvisation, tradition and innovation.

This evening is the culmination of an artistic residency, a path of shared creation, in which musicians work side by side, developing ideas in a continuous dialogue between individual sensibilities and collective vision. The result is an immersive experience that interweaves different musical languages, from ancient to contemporary, from folk to minimalism, giving life to new sounds and engaging rhythmic suggestions.

During the performance, the audience will experience the energy of this exceptional ensemble, capable of transforming the cello into a miniature orchestra, a sound laboratory in continuous evolution.
