Peter Chu - Student Sharing | Elsewhere & Through the Fracture of Light
Intensive & Focus on Creation
© Sarah Jeffers
Orsolina28 presents an evening dedicated to dance, creation and training.
The evening begins with a presentation of the students who participated in the training residency with choreographer Peter Chu.
It then continues with a brand new creation, “Elsewhere,” by choreographer Yue Yin, who is in residence at Orsolina28 Art Foundation with her company YY Dance. “Elsewhere” is the third dance production within the trilogy exploring humanity and existential conflict with the world. This chapter is a dance about the passage and a transition that is unmarked, when in search of the destination there is hope and spiritual awakening. Closing the evening is "Through the Fracture of Light", an ensemble work featuring original music that matches and enhances the earthy, elastic and fluid movement rooted in FoCo Technique. Through these two creations, we explore the meaning of existence, the journey of identity and the continuous becoming of who we are and who we can become. Each dance thus becomes a symbolic narrative, a reflection of the cycle of life and death, the inner transformations and rebirths that accompany our journey.
