After years of collaborating to produce dance films, Orsolina28 Art Foundation and Tommy Pascal are proud to launch a workshop on how to film and edit dance.
I’m often told that filming dance is difficult, but editing it is just as difficult.
Tommy Pascal
During this one-week workshop, participants will learn how to translate movement into images, through theoretical ideas and practice.
Tommy will guide each participant as they begin to acquire the tools necessary for editing through musicality and linking movements seamlessly. Toward the end of the week, each student will present a short dance film.
The program is open to dancers or dance students above the age of 18, who must bring a computer with an editing software (such as DaVinci Resolve or Premiere Pro) and a hard drive to store their videos (500 GB min). Sony cameras and lenses will be made available for those who do not have their own camera.
