The Program One-week workshop concentrating on the creative process, diving into pushing the boundaries of fusing classical ballet and contemporary dance. A new creation will emerge, serving as a path for dancers to discover their capabilities, focusing on rhythm, partnering, and group work. An opportunity to be part of a new creation with Juliano Nunes culminating in an informal presentation on Orsolina28's Open Air Stage at the end of the workshop.

    Trained at the Brazilian Dance Conservatory in Rio de Janeiro, Juliano Nunes (b.1990) furthered his studies at the Mannheim University of Music and Performing Arts in Germany with a Bachelor of Arts and Master of Arts. Joining Companies such as Royal Ballet of Flanders, Leipzig Opera Ballet, Badisches Staatstheater Karlsruhe, and Stuttgart Gauthier Dance. He has gone on to receive critical acclaim for his own choreography and has created pieces for the Royal Ballet in London, Birmingham Royal Ballet, Nederlands Dans Theatre 2, Acosta Danza, Philadelphia Ballet, Mariinsky Theatre, Ballet Zürich Opera House, Ballet Jazz de Montreal, Staatstheater Hannover, Ballet west, Origen Festival Cultural, Teatro San Carlo and Creates for a new Netflix series “Tiny Pretty Things”. Juliano is the resident choreographer with the Philadelphia Ballet.

  • Ève-Marie Dalcourt

    Ève-Marie is a multi-faceted artist from Montreal, Canada. She has danced for 3 years with the world renowned Nederlands Dans Theater II. Eager to support and facilitate new initiatives and artistic voices, she decided in 2019 to become a freelance artist. She has since worked multiple times with the Korzo Theater, Klever Dance, Diego Tortelli, Antonin Rioche, and Juliano Nunes. She is also known to perform in galas around the world with her dance partner and best friend Toon Lobach. On top of maintaining the development of her career as a dancer, she was entrusted with the role of assistant and repetitor for both Alexander Ekman and Juliano Nunes, allowing her to stage pieces on the Paris Opera Ballet, the Royal Swedish Ballet, Staatsballett Berlin and the Birmingham Royal ballet. Ève-Marie aspires to keep evolving in becoming a facilitator for movement, communication, and initiative in the dance industry.

  • Christie Partelow

    Christie Partelow, born and raised in New York, is currently a freelance performing artist based in the Netherlands, previously with Netherlands Dans Theatre. In addition to performing, Christie choreographs for stage and film, creates installation work, and is sharing her spoken word through creations. Prior she was a featured dancer of Les Grands Ballets Canadiens, she toured internationally with ‘West Side Story’ as Anybodys, was a member of Complexions Contemporary Ballet and an apprentice for North Carolina Dance Theatre and Chautauqua Ballet. Ms. Partelow teaches classical ballet as well as contemporary, improvisation and choreographic workshops for professional dance companies and training programs, as well as privately. She is also a Mat and Machinery Pilates instructor and has served as Artistic Partner at a multi disciplinary artistic space called De Studio Rotterdam.

  • Toon Lobach

    Born and raised in Amsterdam, Toon trained at the Academy for Theatre & Dance in Amsterdam. After seeing Nederlands Dans Theater in 2013 he made it his goal to join the company and after some years of hard work he got the opportunity to join NDT2 in 2016. He started as an apprentice and continued to dance with the company for three years afterwards and danced works by Paul Lightfoot & Sol Leon, Marco Goecke, Hans van Manen, Juliano Nunes and many others. After a total of four years in the company he realised that what you want isn't always what you need and it was time to continue his dance career on a different path. He decided to start as a freelancer in 2020 to have more freedom, gain different experiences and meet new people and has since regained his deep-rooted love for dance. Since then he has continued working with various renowned choreographers and his partner in crime Eve-Marie Dalcourt.

SHUTTLE


On Sunday, July 7th, the O28 shuttle bus will leave from the Torino Porta Nuova train station at 3:00pm.

On Sunday, July 14th, the O28 shuttle bus will leave Orsolina28 at 10:00am for Torino Porta Nuova.

The ride is about 1 hour, depending on traffic.

ACCOMMODATION

Our intensive courses are experiences meant to be shared as are our accommodations. All participants are required to stay on campus, dance, live and laugh together.


COSTS

  • Application Fee: € 30.00 (non-refundable)
  • Tuition: € 1,400.00 all-inclusive (classes, room, full board, and round trip shuttle bus)

* The program is intended for students aged 18 and over
** All applicants will automatically be considered for partial tuition scholarship

CANCELLATION POLICY

  • In case of cancellation before April 28th / 90% refund
  • In case of cancellation after April 28th / 50% refund
  • In case of cancellation after May 27th / no refund

EARLY BIRD

  • April 15th - Early Bird: € 1,300.00


Orsolina28 has the right to cancel the workshop in case of insufficient enrollment or force majeure. Received tuition payments will be refunded in full to all participants. In case of such cancellation, Orsolina28 cannot refund any invested travel expenses or international financial transaction costs.
