The week will concentrate on the study and practice of repertoire by choreographer Medhi Walerski as well as the creative process. Morning classes will alternate between Contemporary, and Ballet.

    Medhi Walerski, French choreographer and Artistic Director of Ballet BC, has been creating works since 2006. Walerski danced at the Paris Opera Ballet and the Ballet du Rhin before joining Nederlands Dans Theater in 2001. For over a decade, he was an integral part of the company, contributing to the creative, innovative style NDT is famed for. He was awarded the Dutch dance prize VSCD Zwaan in 2013. He has created works for Nederlands Dans Theater 1 & 2, Ballet BC, Goteborg Ballet, Bern Ballet, and the Ballet State of Georgia, amongst others. His choreography is performed by dance companies and schools around the world.

  • Sarah Pippin

    Sarah Pippin was born in Raleigh, North Carolina, where she completed her early training. In 2020 she earned her BFA from The Juilliard School, under the direction of Alicia Graf Mack. Upon graduation, she joined Ballet BC, where she has performed works by Medhi Walerski, Crystal Pite, Sharon Eyal, Marco Goecke, Felix Landerer, and Imre and Marne van Opstal, among others. Sarah is a National YoungArts winner as well as the recipient of the 2020 Martha Hill Award from The Juilliard School.

  • Rae Srivastava

    Originally from Austin, Texas, Rae Srivastava began training at an early age. In 2020, he achieved his B.F.A. from the USC Kaufman School of Dance, under the direction of Jodie Gates and William Forsythe, and in 2021 he earned an M.S.L. from the USC Gould School of Law. Since joining Ballet BC in 2020, Rae has performed works by choreographers such as Medhi Walerski, Sharon Eyal, Crystal Pite, Imre and Marne van Postal, Marco Goecke, Felix Landerer, and Ethan Colangelo. Most recently, Rae participated in the 2022 Governor General’s Performing Arts Awards Gala in Ottawa's National Arts Centre, performing a duet from honoree Crystal Pite’s Body and Soul.

  • Lénaïg Guégan

    After training at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Paris and then at the prestigious Paris Opera Ballet School, Lénaïg pursued an international career as a soloist dancer. She has danced with English National Ballet, Royal Danish Ballet, Zurich Opera, Miami City Ballet, Grands Ballets Canadiens and Ballet Preljocaj where she has performed a varied repertoire. Founder and director of DanceLoft19, she dedicates herself to teaching and coaching pre-professional students since 2014.

SHUTTLE


On Sunday, July 23th, the O28 shuttle bus will leave from the Torino Porta Nuova train station at 3:00pm.

On Sunday, July 30th, the O28 shuttle bus will leave Orsolina28 at 10:00am for Torino Porta Nuova.

The ride is about 1 hour, depending on traffic.

COSTS

  • Application Fee: € 30.00 (non-refundable)
  • Tuition: € 1,400.00 all-inclusive (classes, room, full board, and round trip shuttle bus)

*All applicants will automatically be considered for half-tuition scholarships.
** The program is intended for students aged 18 and over

CANCELLATION POLICY

  • In case of cancellation before April 21st / 90% refund
  • In case of cancellation after April 21st / 50% refund
  • In case of cancellation after June 19th / no refund

COVID-19 POLICY


Orsolina28 observes the laws and regulations of Italy and of the Piedmont Region with regards to COVID-19 safety. Dancers must familiarize themselves with Italy’s regulations regarding travel and testing. The dancers commit, through the application to the course to respect all COVID-19 policies and regulations.
Dancers may receive further updates regarding policies and must adhere fully to these guidelines in order to participate.
