B Side
“The emptiness is sad and simple, like a long finger sent down the throat, like dust sinking down on the ruins” (Yael Ben Ezer)
“B side” is based on two short dance pieces by Yael Ben Ezer that were presented under the framework of “Batsheva Dancers Create”. During her residency at Orsolina28 Art Foundation, Ben Ezer will further develop and build on them to create a full-evening performance.
The “B side” is the other side, which aspires to flip its own paved stones to look beneath. It is made out of the materials of the here and now: news pages, tv studios, the families and the individuals within, war, peace and uprising.
It is also an aspiration for quiet, a quiet you could dip into like a bath: thick like honey, open like a dessert, delicate like birds.
