"Silence of the tears"
“Silence of the tears” is a short film project that will combine a powerful cinematography and contemporary dance. It's the story of two childhood friends who find themselves 15 years later. The time has passed but the memories quickly return to the surface. Memories and emotions will guide the two characters in a deep face to face that will lead them to questioning a past event that has been the biggest mystery of their childhood.
Director Adrien Ouaki and his team will collaborate on this project to combine their talents to find the perfect balance between cinematography and contemporary dance.
Orsolina28 and his nature is the most appropriate location to shoot this short film. The incredible and authentic nature of this place will give the right atmosphere to the different scenes.
Biography
Adrien Ouaki studied at the International Dance Academy in Paris, graduating at the age of 21. He perfected his knowledge of contemporary dance by participating in workshops with choreographers such as Hofesh Shechter, Wim Vandekeybus, Ohad Naharin, Crystal Pite.
In total collaboration with his partner Aurore Mettray, they created their first piece “À Nous Ou À Jamais” a 20 minutes duet, they had the chance to be invited for a residency at Orsolina28.
He is also passionate about the dance film and directed his own short films like “Dust Of Life”, “Contact”, “The Line” and his latest "Wild" which will be welcomed at many festivals around the world: San Francisco, Chile, London, Lisbon, Finland, Spain, Greece and Bucarest. “The Line” will receive the Best Film Award at the Bucharest International Dance Film Festival and “Wild” will receive the Best Choreography Award at the Utah Dance Film Festival.
Hugo Bembi is a camera artist, he will be in charge of the camera work, photography and editing of the project.
Aurore Mettray and Julien Ramade are both strong actors/dancers, their singularities will be the key to build the two characters of the project.
