The foundation

Orsolina28 Art Foundation ETS was born to promote and transform the future of the performing arts into a social culture.

Mission

To promote dance as a movement discipline, an art form and an instrument for wellbeing, in a multidisciplinary approach. Orsolina28 organizes courses, creative residencies and educational and performances for the most diverse social groups, from renowned professionals to amateurs and including vulnerable communities.

Vision

To create a unique and special place that fosters encounters and exchanges between different cultures and disciplines, where people can rediscover the importance and beauty of reconnecting with the surrounding nature and landscape while deeply respecting them.

A short, long story

Orsolina28 came to life in 2016 by the enthusiasm and passion of its founder, Simony Monteiro. She chose an unconventional place, an eighteenth-century farmhouse that once accommodated the monastery of the Orsoline Sisters of Moncalvo.

Built in 1794, next to a Romanesque parish surrounded by vineyards, O28 is located between Moncalvo and Penango, the heart of the Monferrato Astigiano region in Italy. The winding hills protect the land while the Western Italian Alps and Mount Monviso observe from afar.
